Today Year 3 to Year 6 took part in the annual Gallions’ Chess Tournament. Two children from each class played 5 matches against competitors from a variety of different year groups. Pupils across London have been taking part in a competition to have an object buried in a time capsule in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Five pupils from Gallions were shortlisted finalists and Kenneth in Year 4 was the overall winner. His London Tube Map has now been buried in time capsule! Well done Kenneth!

To introduce their new Rainforest topic, Year 3 worked hard turning their classrooms into a rainforest. They created some rainforest mosaics; animals using paper plates, and a rainforest collage using different materials. They had to work hard as a team and had a lot of fun!
