For 6 weeks, Year 3 learnt about the various cultures represented in their classrooms. Each child did some home learning and carried out some research in class. Each child created a box, which displayed their home country, and contained some key facts they found out about their country. As well as this, some children brought in some special objects linked to their home country.
On Tuesday 18th June 2019, Year Three had their Cultural Day Finale. The children came proudly dressed up in clothing that represented their cultural background. We invited parents and carers in, and shared some of the delicious food that we cooked (from our teacher’s home country). It was wonderful to see each child embrace their culture and so many parents support the children.
It was a fantastic experience!
