I am immensely proud to welcome you to Gallions Primary School.
At our school, we have a wonderful staff team who are dedicated to doing the best for every child. Our teachers are experts on how children learn effectively, and our curriculum is designed to enable our pupils to THRIVE.
We offer an enriched curriculum, in which we go above and beyond the national curriculum expectations in many subjects.
Thank you everyone for your Harvest donations 🙏

Year 2 were excellent nature detectives this afternoon. We were looking at the animals and plants that live in the habitats around our school. We found beetles, snails, rosemary and lavender!
Year 6 are enjoying their reading sessions. We're on our second book already - The Boy at The Back of the Class by Onjali Q.Rauf.
This afternoon children in Calypso class chose their next book from our classroom library. It is amazing to listen to the discussion and even book recommendations.
Year4 started Electricity unit in science. We looked at the components of a simple electrical circuit. Children created a simple circuit then added a component at a time to discuss its function.
Our pupils make great progress and consistently outperform national expectations in maths, reading and writing at the end of KS2.
Our pupils from the age of 6 learn a string instrument in weekly small group lessons.
Our pupils develop their performing arts skills through a weekly drama and dance lesson taught by a specialist teacher.
Our pupils develop their thinking and communication skills through a weekly philosophy for children enquiry.
Our pupils enjoy a range of clubs including: basketball, gardening, chess, football, orchestra, choir, dance and drama.
I have been so impressed with my son’s journey at the school. He has always been encouraged to achieve his goals! Thank you!
Year 4 Parent
We were really impressed by the level of their engagement, the thoughtfulness of the questions that were thrown at us, and their overall enthusiasm. It is infectious! They were also remarkably well behaved, respectful and polite - a testament to both the teachers and parents.
From 'Art in the docks'
Pupils at Gallions are happy, enjoy school and are always smiling. Their behaviour in lessons and around the school is exemplary.
